*** IMAGINE 2.0+ OBJECTS ***
Well I thought I should upload these so that others can use them in
their rendering projects so here they are :).
Notes for the cruiser:
If you look at all the cannons on the cruiser you'll see extra
axis's on them. 1 at each base of the turret cannon barrel. These
are set up so you can use them in the cycle editor so in your
animations you can have the turrets and barrels aiming. See PIC2.IFF
for graphic description.
All the componets are named and the one named BODY is the parent
for all the other objects. The axis of object BODY is used in the
stager to follow paths. If you want a little realism according to
physics heres a tip. The 4 tubes near the exhaust have these ports
on them at the back. They are at an angle and when 2 fire at the same
time a turn is basicly made. See PIC1.IFF for a graphic description.
No textures or brush maps are used but feel free to add what ever
you wish. Its your ship now :) Just give me a little credit :).
The entire object was reconstructed from an Object replicated by
Paul Weise from the saga STARBLASERS/STAR CRUISER YAMATO and that was
created by Yoshinobu Nishizaki, West Cape Co. Ltd and is (tm) by
Westchester Films, Inc.
For editing set your grid to 0.2500, Pick Method Lock and your
ready to edit this object. All points will fall on this grid :)
Notes for the fighter:
This was made before the cruiser so using the grid wont help much.
The aft bottom section has a cavity from the wing to the body as shown
below in ASCII format:
/----\ /----\
___/ \_________/ \____
/ \
WING BODY WING
So if you want to design and mount missles in here you can. Again no
textures or brushe's are used in this and the objects are named.
Happy Rendering :)
